Senior Vice President of Oncology & Immunology

Marina Bacac

Dr. Marina Bacac is Senior Vice President of Oncology & Immunology at a biotechnology startup in Switzerland, where she leads the strategic direction and execution of research and development programs across oncology and immune-mediated diseases.

Prior to this role, Dr. Bacac served for over 15 years at Roche Pharma Research & Early Development (pRED), where she held multiple senior leadership positions including Distinguished Scientist, Department Head, and member of the Oncology Discovery Leadership Team. She played a pivotal role in advancing several cancer immunotherapy programs from early discovery through clinical development, most notably the T-cell engager Glofitamab (Columvi), approved for the treatment of relapsed/refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (R/R DLBCL).

As Head of Oncology Discovery Reverse Translation, Dr. Bacac led cross-functional teams that integrated clinical and translational data to better understand T-cell engager responses and resistance mechanisms. Her work bridges scientific innovation with clinical application, driving next-generation immuno-oncology strategies with a strong focus on translational research and patient benefit.
